LA TV/FM towers in fire’s path; expect overun tonight

Breaking: Los Angeles TV and FM towers in harm’s way. Officials are expected to let fire burn through. There was some retardant placed at sunset tonight. Two firefighters were killed near the “Station Fire” tonight.

On Mount Wilson: “That site is the nerve center for most of communication in the Los Angeles area,” Station Fire Commander Mike Dietrich said. “It is not out of danger as we speak. Right now we are so early in the fire and this is a treacherous fire.”

Fire to over run: KFI reports:
Firefighters have pulled off Mt Wilson, officials expect the critical communications point to
be overrun by fire about 7pm.
